211 Dr. Upton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she will review the practice of insurance companies to levy an additional charge on car insurance policies according to post code; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7216/03]

The pricing and underwriting of insurance is a matter for individual insurance companies and EU law prevents me from intervening directly in the matter. Insurers make decisions on underwriting and premium levels based on their assessment of the risk involved.
