435 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the locations at which each of the 674 persons awaiting suitable beds within the Eastern Regional Health Authority are accommodated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7843/03]
The information requested by the Deputy is not readily available in my Department. The regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority has been requested to provide the information in respect of his authority and forward it directly to the Deputy.
I understand that the Eastern Regional Health Authority completed a comprehensive review of services available to young chronically ill and disabled clients in the region during 2002. This review addresses a number of issues relevant to assessing the unique needs of this care group and contains recommendations aimed at addressing these needs. I have asked the authority to forward a copy of this review to the Deputy.
