Written Answers - Milk Quota.
In March 2002 I amended the European Communities (Milk Quota) Regulations 2000 to provide the detailed rules for the registration of milk production partnerships. The amending regulations included a provision that they could be reviewed from time to time and over the past few months I have consulted with the farming organisations and other interested parties in this regard. In the light of that review and in order to widen the partnership concept to include certain circumstances where a producer and son or daughter are farming together, I propose to make certain amendments to the regulations. I expect to have those amendments in place shortly.
