393 Mr. Costello asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when he proposes to honour the commitment in An Agreed Programme for Government to introduce night courts and weekend courts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9628/03]

Representatives of my Department, the Garda Síochána and the Courts Service have been actively examining this proposal. I would hope to be in a position to make a decision on the matter in the near future.
