Vol. 566 No. 1

Written Answers. - Non-Resident Accounts.

Gerard Murphy

Ceist:

234 Mr. Murphy asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on account holders who were never informed by banks that they held non-resident bogus accounts until they were informed by the Revenue Commissioners which took place after the amnesties. [11587/03]

I have no particular knowledge concerning these allegations. It is for the individuals concerned, who may have been contacted by Revenue, to follow the matter up with their local inspectors of taxes as soon as they can so that the particular facts of their position can be established.
