Vol. 566 No. 2

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

John Cregan

Ceist:

136 Mr. Cregan asked the Minister for Health and Children the situation in relation to the entitlements of persons over 70 on over-70 medical cards to free hearing aids; if this service is available without assessment of means; and the entity to which one should apply in the Dublin area. [12446/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services, including aids and appliances, for medical card holders is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board.
