Ceist:

350 Mr. Andrews asked the Minister for Health and Children if he proposes changes in the medication for the treatment of schizophrenia, in view of the satisfaction expressed by patients and their relatives with a drug (details supplied) at present. [14594/03]

The type of medication used in the care and treatment of an individual is a clinical matter determined by the treating doctor. I do not propose to deny any person the benefit of this medication where it is deemed medically necessary.
