343 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will report on the situation at a school (details supplied) in County Dublin where four classes of 35 children each are due for a booster dose of the MMR vaccine; and when and the location at which these children will receive the vaccine in view of the fact that the school will be breaking up shortly for the summer. Operational responsibility for the administration of the school booster programme, including the MMR vaccination, lies with the individual health boards-authority, which have the appropriate regional and local management structures in place to manage the delivery of the immunisation programme.
My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
