Ceist:

362 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children, further to a previous parliamentary question, if the SEHB will accommodate the needs of New Oak Boys' Sports Club in the development which is planned for St. Dympna's Hospital, County Carlow; if the playing field established on a professionally constructed pitch will be protected for the club's use in view of the valuable contribution the club is making to the local community and to the health of the community by promoting and organising young people in sport; and if the SEHB will enter into meaningful negotiations with the club and resolve the issue. Responsibility for the matter referred to by the Deputy rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
