Ceist:

410 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the current number of staff broken down by grade employed within the private office and the constituency office in respect of his and each Minister of State within his Department; the current amount paid in respect of each office in terms of salary, overtime and expenses; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16850/03]

The current staffing in my private and constituency offices is as follows: one administrative officer – private secretary; one executive officer – diary secretary; one executive officer – general administration; one clerical officer – administrative support; one special adviser; one executive officer – constituency matters which come to the Department; one personal secretary – attached to Ranelagh constituency office and one personal assistant – attached to Ranelagh constituency office. I also have shared access to the following support staff who handle correspondence tracking, parliamentary questions, processing of ministerial decision files and so on – two executive officers and four clerical officers.

The equivalent staffing in Minister of State O'Dea's private and constituency offices is as follows: one higher executive officer; one executive officer; one staff officer; five clerical officers; one personal secretary and one personal assistant. The current total amount paid in respect of private office, constituency office and shared access support staff in terms of salary, overtime and expenses since the current Ministers' terms of office commenced is as follows.
