418 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government if meetings have taken place within his Department regarding a proposed redrawing of local or European election constituency boundaries; if such changes are being proposed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. No such meetings have taken place. I intend to establish a constituency commission to review the European and Dáil constituencies as soon as the Central Statistics Office report on the census 2002 is available. The position regarding any revision of local electoral areas will also be considered when the CSO report is received.
