428 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government when the boundary commission for the European elections 2004 will be finalised; the timescale that he is proposing to have this information available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16479/03]

I intend to establish a constituency commission as soon as the Central Statistics Office's report on the census 2002 is available. The commission is required to report within six months of its establishment.
