175 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Defence if he gave his consent to allow planning permission to be sought for a private development on the grounds of the Reserve Defence Forces barracks at Slievamon Road, Thurles; if so, the conditions attached to that planning permission; and the compensation which will be forthcoming to the Exchequer. My Department has been approached by a developer who wishes to access his property through a portion of the FCA property in Thurles, County Tipperary. I understand that this matter is the subject of an application to the local authority for planning permission, an earlier application in this regard having been withdrawn. My Department will consider the matter following an examination of the current planning application.
