Ceist:292 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport if he will meet with the Irish Drivers Education Association; his views on their submission on driver education; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19252/03]

There is no record in my Department of a request for a meeting or a submission having been received from the Irish Drivers Education Association. My colleague, Deputy McDaid, Minister of State at my Department, has had meetings with a number of bodies representing driving instructors. Should a request for a meeting be received from the Irish Drivers Education Association it will receive favourable consideration.
