Ceist:

1307 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the number of one-off planning applications, that is, a single house in a rural area with an individual septic tank or treatment plan, granted by each local planning authority in 2002 and to express this as a percentage of the total number of successful planning applications in each authority. According to statistics published by the Central Statistics Office, planning permissions were granted in 2002 for 51,055 new houses and apartments. Statistics are not available on the number of one-off planning applications as referred to in the question, nor has my Department computed an estimate in relation to the position in 2002.
