24 Mr. J. Breen asked the Minister for Education and Science when Barefield National School will get three new classrooms, a learning support room, a library, medical room and multimedia room; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20102/03]
My Department has acknowledged the need for additional accommodation at Barefield National School. A brief for the project has been agreed with the school authorities. However, due to the level of financial commitments to be met from projects already in construction my Department is not in a position to initiate the architectural planning of any further large scale projects during 2003. The question of advancing the project to architectural planning will be considered in the context of the 2004 capital programme.
