316 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons for the delay in making an appointment for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow, at Beaumont Hospital; if an appointment can be expedited; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24285/03]

The provision of services for people living in County Carlow is a matter for the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
