279 Mr. Costello asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his plans to review and update the Firearms (Temporary Custody) Order 1972 taking into consideration the views of the City of Dublin Pistol Club; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25668/03]
The firearms taken into custody on foot of the order continue to be held in custody and there are currently no plans to release them. However, as I have previously indicated to the House, the review of Government policy on firearms matters is ongoing and I will communicate the outcome of the review when it is completed.
