Ceist:143 Mr. English asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the way in which modulation funds will be dealt with; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25464/03]
Written Answers. - Direct Payment Schemes.
Under the regulations governing the recent reform of the Common Agricultural Policy, modulation of direct payments will be introduced in 2005. The modulated funds will be available for disbursement in 2006 in accordance with strict criteria under the regulations. I have not yet taken decisions on how the funds will be utilised.
