189 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Defence his plans to adopt the recommendations of the Emergency Planning Society of Ireland on integrated emergency planning here, that there should be a single overall agency which would play a central role in integrated emergency planning at national level and whose recommendations and guidance would impact at all levels. I have recently received a report entitled Integrated Emergency Planning in Ireland. I understand this to have been produced by a working group of the Emergency Planning Society – Republic of Ireland branch. I welcome the interest of this society in this very important area of Government activity and I will have the report studied by the appropriate authorities.
