Written Answers. - Pension Provisions.
I wish to inform the Deputy that the question of restoring the Garda widow's pension in this case is being examined in accordance with paragraph 6 of Part III (General Rules) of the 1925 Pensions Order (SI No. 63 of 1925). In general, the person in question must show that the pension is necessary for their support. The person in question has been asked to provide an affidavit as to their means. When this is received, my Department will process the matter further in consultation with the Department of Finance.
