I propose to take Questions Nos. 156 and 157 together. I have been informed by the Garda authorities that there are no stations in County Carlow or County Wicklow that have one way glass systems installed for use by victims and witnesses. There are no plans to install such systems in Garda stations. A witness in a formal identification parade may identify a suspect by means of numbers rather than by physical touching. The object is to provide the witness with an opportunity to view the parade and make an independent evaluation and/or identification.
