Ceist:75 Mr. McEllistrim asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the lack of progress to date in commencing building or even acquiring a site for the building of a Garda station in Castleisland County Kerry. [23465/03]

The Commissioners of Public Works are currently negotiating for a site for a new Garda station in Castleisland. Finalisation of any acquisition will depend on the relative priority accorded to Castleisland by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and the availability of funds.
