385 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children when the evaluation by TCD of the home care grant project being piloted in the East Coast and Northern Area Health Boards is expected to be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26390/03]
Since my appointment as Minister of State, I have initiated and encouraged all health boards to develop personal care packages, such as the projects to which the Deputy referred.
The home care grant project, to which the Deputy refers, is currently being piloted in the East Coast and the Northern Area Health Boards and is being evaluated by Trinity College Dublin on behalf of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. The final report of the evaluation is due to be submitted to the authority early in the new year.
