Ceist:

425 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Transport the reason a person who applied for a driving test has been informed that they must wait a further six months having applied in July 2003 at a test centre in Kilkenny; if the application in the names of persons (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be expedited; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Transport (Mr. Brennan):

A driving test will be arranged as soon as possible for the persons concerned. Applications from both applicants were entered on computer on 21 July 2003. A letter received on the 10 November 2003 requesting an early test, as they hold American licences which will only be valid for a year, was the first indication that there is any urgency in connection with their driving tests.
