Vol. 574 No. 2

Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

John Ellis

Ceist:

308 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department will complete a land registry dealing (details supplied). [26759/03]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this application refers to a Land Commission purchase agreement lodged on 12 February 2001 – schedule No. 93587 refers.

I am further informed that a query issued to the lands division of the Department of Agriculture and Food on 11 November. The application cannot proceed until this query has been satisfactorily resolved.

Land Commission schedule applications are deemed to be registered as of the date of vesting which is prior to the date of lodgement of the documents in the Land Registry. Accordingly, the registration of Land Commission cases in the Land Registry is afforded a lower priority than the registration of other dealings.

I can assure the Deputy that on receipt of a satisfactory reply the matter will receive further attention in the Land Registry.

Róisín Shortall

Ceist:

309 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reasons for the delay in progressing a case (details supplied); if the matter will be dealt with as soon as possible; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26786/03]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for transfer of part that was lodged on 24 June – dealing No. D2003DN021161Y refers. Queries were issued to the lodging solicitor on 8 September and on 23 September. The Land Registry is now in a position to proceed with the registration of this application.

This application is receiving attention in the Land Registry and will be completed as soon as possible.
