152 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to the budget 2004 submission by the End Child Poverty Coalition on behalf of Barnardos, Focus Ireland, Pavee Point, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Children's Rights Alliance and People with Disabilities in Ireland; if his attention has further been drawn to the strong case they make; if assurances of support will be given; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have received a pre-budget submission from the End Child Poverty Coalition and submissions from each of the organisations that form part of this group. The contents of the submissions will be considered in the context of the forthcoming budget and Finance Bill. As Deputies are aware, it is not my policy to comment in advance of the budget on possible budget decisions.
