218 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the position with regard to a boat licence for a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28182/03]
I announced a new national policy on sea fishing boat licensing on Thursday, 20 November 2003. In line with this, the licensing authority has processed the application which had been made by the person referred to by the Deputy. I have been informed that a letter of licence offer, subject to certain conditions, was issued by the licensing authority on 21 November to the applicant.
