315 Ms Enright asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government if additional funding will be provided to Offaly County Council which they have sought under the 2003 rural water programme to cover schemes which are at tender stage; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Early this year I allocated a block grant of €1.25 million to Offaly County Council under the 2003 rural water programme. A claim for payment of the grant was recently submitted by the council and is being dealt with in my Department. The council's allocation under the 2004 programme in due course will take into account schemes awaiting approval at the time.
