Vol. 576 No. 1

Written Answers. - British Intelligence Services.

Finian McGrath

Ceist:

171 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs his views on the concerns of many citizens that British intelligence services have been involved in illegal acts in this State for over 30 years; and the way in which he will re-assure the public that these activities have ended. [29032/03]

As I have informed the House in the past, I have conveyed our concerns about such allegations to the British Government through the mechanism of the BIIGC. Any specific allegations of this nature would be investigated by the Garda Síochána and, in that context, I would urge anyone with relevant information to forward it to the Garda.
