186 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Wexford was deducted ?500 from an installation aid grant; if this decision can be reversed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29741/03]
Under the installation aid scheme, applications for entry to the scheme must be submitted within a period of six months after the date of set-up in farming. An installation aid scheme 1 form – IAS 1 – was received by my Department from the above-named person on 29 August 2003. This application may not have been submitted within the period of six months referred to above and a penalty may, therefore, be applicable. A final decision on payment must await receipt of the application for payment, IAS 2, from the person concerned. Once this has been received, the outcome will be notified to the applicant in due course.
