Written Answers. - Transfer of Title.
The land which is the subject of this question is at present occupied by a GAA club and is a former Land Commission trust set up under the Land Purchase Acts.
Under the powers conferred on me by these Acts I have, at the request of the trustees, recently signed a warrant of consent to their proposal to transfer the ownership of the land to the club and end the trust. Other statutory obligations, particularly those set out in section 30 of the 1950 Land Act regarding the transfer of trust lands are being dealt with by officials of my Department, who are in contact with solicitors for the GAA club.
When the transfer to club ownership is completed, the sale of a site from the GAA grounds will then be a matter for the club.
