326 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health and Children when it is expected that construction work will commence on the proposed replacement hospital for St. Vincent's Hospital, Dungarvan, County Waterford; the projected completion date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29734/03]
A brief for the proposed re-development at the hospital has been completed. The next stage will be the appointment of a design team to commence planning. At present it is being considered by my Department, in conjunction with the South-Eastern Health Board, in the context of future capital priorities for the board for 2004 and beyond. This will be done in line with overall funding resources available. My Department will be in touch with the board shortly with a view to progressing this essential project.
