408 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government when a proposed extension to the Portumna sewerage scheme for Woodpark, Portumna, County Galway, will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29718/03]
The Woodpark sewerage scheme is part of a pilot programme by local authorities to test a range of new, small scale, wastewater collection and treatment systems in a number of locations.
Contractors have been shortlisted to undertake the works under a design, build and operate contract and construction is expected to commence early in 2004.
