84 Ms Shortall asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the implications for Irish exports of the current dispute between the EU and the United States over tariffs; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [29936/03]

The Government welcomes the decision by the US Administration to remove tariffs on imported steel. As a consequence, the proposed European Union sanctions on certain US exports will not now be implemented.
