Ceist:226 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the position regarding the proposed swimming pool at Kilclooney, County Donegal. [31697/03]
Written Answers. - Swimming Pool Projects.
The closing date for receipt of applications under the current local authority swimming pool programme, which is administered by my Department, was 31 July 2000. There are no plans to re-open the programme at present.
In regard to the proposal to develop a swimming pool in Kilclooney, Portnoo, County Donegal, the position is that Donegal County Council submitted a feasibility study for the project in December 2001 and was advised in response by my Department that the proposal could not be considered as it was outside the deadline for receipt of proposals.
