244 Mr. Grealish asked the Minister for Transport if he can provide funding to carry out a survey with regard to the possibility of providing a bus lane from Loughgeorge, Claregalway to Galway city; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31449/03]
The funding of a survey on the possibility of providing a bus lane from Claregalway to Galway city is a matter for the relevant local authorities. I have received no application for the funding of a bus lane from Claregalway to Galway city from Galway County Council or from Galway City Council. Following the receipt of an application from Galway City Council earlier in 2003, I approved funding for the development of two bus priority routes in Galway city.
