In May of this year, I initiated a public consultation process on the findings and recommendations of the high level review of the State commercial ports. My Department is currently conducting a comprehensive appraisal of the results of the consultation process with a view to preparing framework policy options for my consideration.
I intend to publish a comprehensive policy statement on the State commercial ports in the first half of next year, drawing on the high level review and the subsequent consultation process, and following any necessary consultation with my Government colleagues.
