My Department made €2.43 million available in respect of marine tourism projects in 2003. This was provided to honour existing commitments in respect of specific marina development and other projects. Only €0.26 million of this funding was, however, drawn down during the year. Funding of €2.85 million has been identified for these projects in my Department's Vote allocation for 2004. There are no funds available for projects other than those in respect of which there are currently outstanding commitments already formally entered into.
