It is proposed to take No. 1, Harbours (Amendment) Bill 2008 [Seanad] — Second Stage——
Order of Business.
I submitted a matter under Standing Order 32 yesterday evening, but it has not been taken. Are you being political about this, a Cheann Comhairle?
I have written to the Deputy to inform him——
I submitted this matter before 7 p.m. yesterday, but your office did not get back to me until 10.15 a.m. this morning. The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government is out promoting a candidate for Lord Mayor of Dublin before he announces procedure. This is completely out of order and I am entitled to raise it as a Member of this Parliament.
The Deputy must resume his seat and withdraw the charge that the Chair is being political.
I want a further explanation.
Are you going to withdraw the charge?
I asked you whether you were being political.
You either do that or you leave the House.
I did not accuse you of being political.
You must leave the House.
I asked you whether you were being political about Standing Order 32.
Deputy Bannon, you must leave the House.
Give him a chance.
This is Fianna Fáil corroding——
Leave the House.
That is very abrupt.
This is dreadful behaviour. I am not entitled to ask a question as a Member of this House. It is out of order.
