Ábhair Shaincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Joe McHugh - to discuss engagement with the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland on the defective blocks scheme; (2) Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan - to discuss sourcing home help from private providers in cases where the HSE cannot meet approved needs; (3) Deputy Gary Gannon - to discuss providing affordable and accessible medical care to people suffering with hyperemesis; (4) Deputies Ruairí Ó Murchú and David Cullinane - to discuss funding for healthcare workers due to attend a nursing training programme; (5) Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh - to discuss the takeover of group water schemes in County Mayo by Irish Water; (6) Deputy Niamh Smyth - to discuss procedures for children’s school absences of more than 20 days due to Covid-19; (7) Deputy Paul McAuliffe - to discuss delays to post-mortem services in Dublin city; (8) Deputy Joan Collins - to discuss the proposed deal on the National Maternity Hospital; (9) Deputy Dessie Ellis - to discuss the urgent need for extra Garda resources to be put into Finglas to combat the escalation in drug- and gang-related violence; (10) Deputy Michael McNamara - to discuss fully reopening the National Driver Licence Service centre in Ennis, County Clare to the public; and (11) Deputy Martin Browne - the lack of primary school autism spectrum disorder, ASD, unit provision in south Tipperary, with reference to an unsuccessful application from Carrick-on-Suir.

The matters raised by Deputies McHugh, Gannon, McNamara and Browne have been selected for discussion.
