Ábhair Shaincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case:

Deputy Jennifer Murnane O'Connor - To discuss the need to support the care home sector to deal with financial and recruitment challenges.

Deputy Paul Donnelly - To discuss the proposal that the children's urgent care centre at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown is to be changed from an emergency department to an appointment-only care centre.

Deputy Dessie Ellis - To discuss Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown's children's urgent care centre moving from an emergency department to an appointment-only care centre.

Deputy Louise O'Reilly - To discuss staffing levels in early intervention teams in north county Dublin.

Deputy Claire Kerrane - To discuss the need for additional resources for rural towns welcoming refugees and asylum seekers.

Deputy Colm Burke - To discuss a report examining the HSE's reimbursement and pricing decision-making process in respect of new drugs.

Deputy Brian Stanley - To discuss efforts to reduce energy costs for consumers.

Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan - To discuss whether Cork will be considered for the provision of gallium scan testing.

Deputies Aengus Ó Snodaigh and Patrick Costello - To discuss violent attacks on members of An Garda Síochána in Ballyfermot, the need to tackle such lawlessness and the need for additional protection for our police force.

Deputy Pa Daly - To discuss vacancy rates in the social housing stock in County Kerry.

Deputy Thomas Pringle - To discuss commencement of all sections of the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) (Amendment) Act 2022.

Deputy Martin Browne - To discuss the impact of An Bord Pleanála being able to overturn county council planning decisions in respect of county development plans.

Deputy Joe McHugh - To discuss the need to take unique community identity into consideration when framing policy regarding the location of autism spectrum disorder classes.

The matters raised by Deputies Jennifer Murnane O'Connor, Pa Daly, Aengus Ó Snodaigh and Patrick Costello, and Thomas Pringle have been selected for discussion.
