COM (2011) 562 is a proposal for a Council regulation fixing for 2011 the fishing opportunities for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks, applicable in the Baltic Sea. The relevant lead Department is the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny, however, the committee is proposing to write to the Department, raising the points raised by both Deputies Colreavy and Harrington, as regards the implications for Ireland in the context of this regulation.
