Business of Joint Committee.
I must leave at 2.30 p.m. to attend a meeting of the Committee on Procedure and Privileges. Senator Hanafin will deputise for me until I return.
Representatives of SIPTU will not address the joint committee today as intended owing to other commitments. I understand some of them may be involved in meetings with the Government. As their absence is unavoidable, we will try to facilitate a meeting at a future date. I propose to go into private session and then resume in public session to discuss No. 7 on the agenda. Is that agreed? Agreed.
