Scrutiny of EU Proposals.

The following measures are before the joint committee for scrutiny.

The following are adopted measures: COM (2007) 656; COM (2007) 657; COM (2007) 660; COM (2007) 658; COM (2007) 659; COM (2007) 661; COM (2008) 74 [Council Regulation195/2008]; COM (2008) 171, which is a follow-on note to Early Warning Note L234/3 which was considered by the joint committee at its meeting of 13 December 2007; and COM (2008) 173. This is a follow-on note to Early Warning Note C103/10, which was considered by the joint committee at its meeting of 20 November 2007. It is proposed to note these adopted measures. Is that agreed? Agreed.

It is proposed that the following proposals require no further scrutiny: COM (2008) 8; COM (2008) 81; COM (2008) 184; COM (2008) 185; COM (2008) 195; COM (2008) 213; COM (2008) 218; COM (2008) 226; COM (2008) 220; COM (2008) 222; COM (2008) 223; COM (2008) 228; COM (2008) 232; COM (2008) 235; and COM (2008) 246. Is that agreed? Agreed.

There are no proposals proposed to be sent to sectoral committees for information. No. 4 relates to CFSP measures. It is proposed to note CFSP (2008) 186, CFSP (2008) 314, CFSP (2008) 46, CFSP (2008) 347, CFSP (2008) 349 and CFSP (2008) 391. Is that agreed? Agreed.

No. 5 relates to Title VI (TEU) and Title IV (TEC) measures. It is proposed that COM (2008) 196 and COM (2008)197 do not warrant further scrutiny but will be forwarded to the Joint Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women's Rights in advance of any proposal for the related legislation, along with the additional information note supplied by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. Is that agreed? Agreed.

No. 6 relates to early warning notes. There are no early warning notes. No. 7 relates to proposals for further scrutiny. There are no proposals for further scrutiny. No. 8 relates to proposals proposed for forwarding to sectoral committees for observations, to be returned to the Joint Committee on European Scrutiny, preferably within four weeks but within six weeks at the latest. There are no proposals proposed for forwarding to sectoral committees for observations.

No. 9 relates to proposals proposed for forwarding to sectoral committees for detailed scrutiny. There are no proposals proposed for forwarding to sectoral committees for detailed scrutiny.
