Messages to Dáil and Seanad.

In accordance with Standing Order 87, the following message will be sent to the Dáil:

The Joint Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women's Rights has completed its consideration of the following motion:

That Dáil Éireann approves the exercise by the State of the option or discretion provided by Article 1.11 of the Treaty of Amsterdam to take part in the adoption of the following proposed measure:

a proposal for a Council Framework Decision on the organisation and content of the exchange of information extracted from criminal records between member states,

a copy of which proposed measure was laid before the Dáil on 11 January 2008.

In accordance with Standing Order 72, the following message will be sent to the Seanad:

The Joint Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women's Rights has completed its consideration of the following motion:

That Seanad Éireann approves the exercise by the State of the option or discretion provided by Article 1.11 of the Treaty of Amsterdam to take part in the adoption of the following proposed measure:

a proposal for a Council Framework Decision on the organisation and content of the exchange of information extracted from criminal records between member states,

a copy of which proposed measure was laid before the Seanad on 11 January 2008.

That concludes our consideration of the framework decision. If there is no other business the meeting stands adjourned sine die.
