I stated at yesterday's meeting of the Seanad that an order made by the Executive Council with reference to the Canal Commission had been received, and would be placed on the Orders of the Day. Since then I find that this Order is being printed and that a delay of a week will not cause any inconvenience. I think it better that it should be circulated amongst the Senators, and, consequently, I have not put down the motion which I suggested yesterday, formally approving of it. It will be placed on the Orders of the Day for the next meeting. A further order made by the Executive Council, entitled the Revenue Commissioners' Order, has been received, and it will be dealt with in like manner.
