There is a matter which is not upon the Orders of the Day to which I wish to direct the attention of the Seanad. The Standing Orders Committee have practically completed their labours, but on the last occasion that the report was up it was recommended that words be introduced which would make it necessary that each stage of a Bill should have its own separate day. The Committee have since met and they have unanimously agreed to recommend that change. That is the only change that stands in the way of having the Standing Orders printed, and, with the appendix, which is ready, circulated amongst the members. Therefore, I think it would be desirable for us to put that report through to-day.
It is simply a report from the Standing Orders Committee accepting the reference back from the Seanad to insert the words I have mentioned, namely that there should be a separate day for every stage of a Bill.
