Vol. 4 No. 10

PRIVATE BILL PROCEDURE. - BUSINESS OF THE SEANAD.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

That concludes the business, but before the Seanad separates, I would like to mention that on Wednesday next, when we meet at three o'clock, I propose to take up consideration of the Report Stage of the Local Government Bill. I shall ask the indulgence of the Seanad to allow that Stage to be adjourned at 4.15 for my own personal convenience, as I have to fulfil a public engagement at that hour elsewhere. I shall then ask the Seanad to take up the Live Stock Breeding Bill, which remains to be put through the Report Stage, and the proceedings will probably last one and a half hours. When the Report Stage of that Bill is concluded, the Seanad will again resume consideration of the Local Government Bill. In other words, there will be an interval between 4 and 6 p.m., during which the Live Stock Breeding Bill will be disposed of, and during which I shall ask the Leas-Cathaoirleach to occupy the Chair in my absence.

The Seanad adjourned at 12 noon.
