BUSINESS OF THE SEANAD.

I tried to consult your convenience in putting it down for to-day. We will put it down again for to-morrow.
So far as I can see practically all the Bills at present before the Dáil are on their way to this House, and will reach us this afternoon. I propose that the House should take the Report Stage of the Electricity Bill on Wednesday next, and on the same day give a second reading to the Agricultural Credit Bill and the Medical Registration Bill, and these three Bills will be in the list for Wednesday next. In view of the fact that it is desirable that possibly we should conclude our business next week, I suggest to Ministers interested in these various Bills to see that, at least in regard to those that may be described as non-contentious, motions should be put down enabling stages subsequent to the Committee Stage, that is, Fourth and Fifth Stages, to be taken on the same day, otherwise we might find ourselves a little tightened. I hope that Senators living in Dublin will attend to-morrow, so that we may be quite certain of a quorum. It is absolutely essential that the Electoral Amendment Bill should be passed to-morrow, which is the latest day it can be passed consistent with Government arrangement.
